LMS Gold jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Brayden Wegener doubled, scoring two runs, and Abram McHenry hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. LMS Gold added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Camden Hawkins singled down the right field line, and Noah Adams hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. LMS Gold added one run in the third. LMS Gold scored on a wild pitch, making the score 6-1. Hawkins earned the win for LMS Gold. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking two. Kane Jackson took the loss for Western Boone. The pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking four. Camron Venis threw one inning of zero-run ball for LMS Gold in relief. The pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking none. Wegener and McHenry each drove in two runs for LMS Gold. Hawkins and Andrew Gosewehr each stole multiple bases for LMS Gold. LMS Gold had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. LMS Gold ran wild on the base paths, piling up seven stolen bases for the game. LMS Gold turned one double play in the game. Caleb Keyes drove the middle of the lineup, leading Western Boone with two runs batted in. The center fielder went 1-for-1 on the day. Jackson, Fields, and Keyes each collected one hit for Western Boone. LMS Gold will travel to Tri West for their next game on Monday.
