LMS Gold Falls To Avon Orioles Middle School South

LMS Gold lost to Avon Orioles Middle School South 10-6 on Tuesday. LMS Gold got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brayden Wegener singled down the right field line, Roman Moore grounded out, and Noah Adams singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Avon Orioles Middle School tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a double by Max Henderson, and an error. In the bottom of the third, Avon Orioles Middle School broke up the tie when an error scored one run. Then a walk by Jensen Hataway followed to extend the lead to 5-3. Bryson Mitchell earned the win for Avon Orioles Middle School. The starter gave up five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Andrew Gosewehr took the loss for LMS Gold. The pitcher went three innings, surrendering five runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out four and walking three. Wegener drove the middle of the lineup, leading LMS Gold with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Leadoff hitter Camden Hawkins led LMS Gold with two hits in three at bats. Hawkins stole two bases. LMS Gold stole six bases in the game. Avon Orioles Middle School tallied 10 hits in the game. Henderson, the number seven hitter for Avon Orioles Middle School, led the way with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Braxton Kellermeier, Garrett Lowry, and Henderson each collected two hits for Avon Orioles Middle School. Avon Orioles Middle School had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Hataway and Mitchell led the team with two free passes each. Christian Wessel stole two bases. Avon Orioles Middle School ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game. Avon Orioles Middle School turned two double plays in the game. Avon Orioles Middle School were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Micah Arzate had the most chances in the field with nine. LMS Gold will travel to Lafayette central catholic for their next game on Wednesday.
